Analisis Perkembangan Doktrin Kekristenan Di Indonesia Dan Implikasi Pada Penerapan Di Era Postmodern

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the development of Christian doctrine in Indonesia and the implications of its application in the postmodern era. The method used in this study was qualitative with a library research approach that uses books and other literature as the main object. The doctrine of Christianity after the early church experienced significant development in response to challenges and changing social contexts. After the early church period, church councils were held to formally formulate doctrine. Theology in early Christianity was an attempt to understand and explain the Christian faith in the existing cultural and philosophical context. This process formed the basis for the doctrines and teachings held by the church throughout its history. In a certain era, the reformation began as a reaction to the practices of the Catholic Church, such as the sale of indulgences and corruption in church leadership. In its development, society has experienced modernization and rejected structuralism. Postmodernism supported decentralization, destructuring, fragmentation, diversity, contradiction, irony, relativity, and similar concepts. In such conditions, people begin to glorify individuals who encourage the unity of humanity without the limitations set by religion. Interreligious dialogue is becoming increasingly popular, while tolerance and universal brotherhood are becoming important terms
